the_bucket_list_movie_poster_onesheetEver since The Bucket List (movie) came out in 2007, people talk about finishing out their years by doing exciting things on a “Bucket List”; a list of places to go (like Israel), things to do, and experiences to check off before they check out, so to speak. Before they ‘kick the bucket’.

To me, this seems strange. Why wait till the end is in sight? Who knows when that will be? (James 4:13-15)

I have led full busloads of people to Israel (well over 500 over the last 2 decades). One of the most common things I hear from pilgrims is this: I could kick myself for waiting so long before coming here? (Oh the irony: people kicking themselves for not getting to their “Kick the Bucket” list earlier.)

And this is especially true of clergy and ordained leaders. They often wait until the end of their ministry to see the places they have been teaching and preaching about all their lives! Why? If something is worth doing before you die, it’s worth doing now…or at least very soon.

The Old City

Come experience Israel…now! Take if off your bucket list now!  It will…

  • answer scores of unspoken questions about the Christian faith…now.
  • deepen your love of God…now.
  • sharpen your biblical understanding…now.
  • elevate your biblical preaching and teaching…forever.
  • provide you with a rich memory of images that you will have for the rest of your life.

I am going again this January (2017) and both trips are filling up!

Clergy/Pastor/Spouse Familiarization Trip: If you are an ordained minister or leading a ministry and are interested in bringing your own people back in future years, please go here and read how pastors can do that. You really can.  (I took a group of clergy, spouses, a professor, and a bishop and others last January. We had an incredible time of joy and fellowship. Here is what we did.)

(I just received news that the Clergy tour has been further discounted for clergy who can fly out of Houston. The total cost of that trip is now $1895 for everything. All other departures cities are a tad more, but all are still very cheap.)

And when you bring people back, most of your initial costs are refunded to you. Check the links for details.)
Biblical Tour of the Holy Land: If you are a lay person and want to experience the Holy Land with a Christian guide, an experienced leader (that’s me), with rich biblical teaching and the fellowship of other believers, come with me. You will not regret it… Go here to find out details and departures, costs, and the itinerary. This year I have included Egypt, the Pyramids, and Luxor as an extension. Wow!
Come to Israel! Now!

End Notes

A trip to the Holy Land is one of the best travel values out there! It is all inclusive…except lunches. And, so that you know, I have used Imagine Tour and Travel for years…they are fully professional and deeply committed to the Lord. Call and talk to any of their staff. They are all terrific.

Some people are concerned about safety in this part of the world. After each trip I assess whatever tensions I’ve encountered. I am always am eager to return. I will write a blog post on this topic soon…but don’t let this concern keep you from your trip to the Holy Land.
