The Bible Pages You Probably Aren’t Reading

There are pages in your bible you probably have never read or studied. There they are…about ten pages…all the way in the back of the book…just past the ‘inspired’ part, for sure. These pages lie there untouched by most; only a few people bother to thumb through them to glean their insights.  They are wise and true. They are revealing and informative. They are accurate…and some are even in color!

I’m speaking about the MAPS!

Did you know the the Bible is the only religious book with its own maps in the back? Why do you think that is? Because the entire story of salvation is not only written on the pages of the Old and New Testament…it is written on the land!  God’s redemption story is tied to a people…AND to a land! Some even call the land of Israel the ‘Fifth Gospel’.

For example, we all have Sunday School pictures in mind when we hear the name of the Sea of Galilee. But it is nothing like the real thing. The lake is small…about 16 miles long and 7 miles wide. Names you know so well are along its shoreline: Capernaum. Mt. of Beatitudes, Bethsaida, Magdala. They are actually are THERE! You can see them yourself!

Jesus spoke half of his parables around this lake…and did most of this miracles here.  He walked around the lake…he walked on the lake…he sailed its distance from east to west…he preached from a boat on its shores…he ate breakfast with his disciples on its banks.

Isn’t it time you see it for yourself?

From Mt. Arbel you can see Capernaum, Beatitudes, Bethsaida, Magdala, and much more!

From Mt. Arbel you can see Capernaum, Beatitudes, Bethsaida, Magdala, and much more!

You can!  You can sail it, walk its shores, eat a sample of its fish. You can share Holy Communion on the shoreline. Most importantly, you can learn even more deeply of the love, ministry, message, and impact of the Lord Jesus Christ by walking the land.

And that is just the first few days.  The rest of the trip is as amazing; it will awaken a new kind of faith in you. A color-filled faith. A 3-D faith. A fully ‘grounded‘ biblical faith.  (Look what we did on the last pastor trip!)

In fact, this entire trip is an interactive, bible and land learning/study tour designed exclusively for pastors, ministers, and ordained leaders in the church. Our 2017 Pastor Trip for Israel is filling up. Register this week…the early bird discount ($200) is set to expire on the 15th of May. (For ordained leaders and pastors, it is much, much cheaper than you think.)

If you are an ordained leader, pastor, minister, seminary professor, bishop, or graduating seminarian…open the last part of bible…the MAPS… and imagine yourself THERE!
